...I will always regret not taking more pictures of the locals - but I felt at the time it was intrusive - also film was a bit short. I don't know how these slide films survived - I would wrap my camera up in my sleeping bag during the day if I was not using it - or cont below. |

it would fry in the heat. We wondered why the local boys would give us more than face value for foreign coins - the girls all wore them round their head scarves. I think a large foreign coin had a rather sweet value to it ! These people defy all the politics of the area - they have been there from before any of the boundaries were ever drawn. They have history in their eyes. |
